How to Resolve "Error – 69" When You Synchronize Your iTunes With Your iPod

by admin / Tuesday, 25 April 2017 / Published in Uncategorised

Are you facing error -69, in your iPod? You have no backup of your data and your data is in the verge of loss. You need iPod recovery software to recover your music in such a case.

iPod is an excellent discovery of Apple that has completely revolutionized the way music lovers go for music. This slim and compact device has large memory capacity to store large number of audio and video files basically the music files. With a head phone attached to it, the device allows privacy in listening of the music. Today, you can carry the device to any place an any time in your pocket. iTunes is a proprietary digital media player application that manages the content of the iPod and is also used to play and organize digital music and video files. However, when you try to sync files to any iPod in iTunes on a Windows based computer, many times you encounter -69 error message that reads:

“Attempting to copy to the disk failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)”

Consider a practical situation wherein, you had some music in your iPod. You have iTunes on your Windows based system and you have synchronized the iPod with your iTunes. After synchronization, you have cut, pasted the music from your iTunes to your iPod. But while trying to transfer the music, you find the error message defined above. Now you do not have the music file either in the iTunes nor in the iPhone.

Causes:

This error occurs when iTunes tries to send files to your iPod, but a file becomes unusable due to corruption in it.

Resolutions:

To resolve the problem discussed above, perform the following steps after updating the latest version of iTune:

1. Right-click on your iPod icon in the iTunes Source panel, and choose Sync Songs from the shortcut menu

2. The name of the problematic file appears on the display at the top of the iTune windows while iPod is being updated. Remove the file from the list of music to be synchronized to your iPod

3. Select the iPod in the iTunes Source pane

4. Click the Summary tab.

5. Select the “Sync only checked songs and videos” checkbox

6. Select the required item under Library in the sidebar and find the corrupt file in the list

7. Deselect the checkbox next to the file name

However, if the above procedure fails to solve your problem, you need iPod recovery software in order to recover the file lost in the process discussed above.

iPod Recovery software is a ‘Do-It-Yourself’ utility that allows the users an easy, 3-Step recovery process. It supports the audio files that include MOV, VVI, WAV, MIDI, OGG, AIFF, MP4, RPS, ASF, WMA, WMV, AU, MP3.
