Mobile Apps Market
A few years ago there were a very few applications for smartphones and no one at that time could think about their distribution via one service. Now the situation has changed radically. Today we are able to choose among over 350 thousand of mobile applications. Distribute model of mobile applications through shop created by Apple has been copied by other mobile platforms developers.
But it is too early still to talk about market saturation for mobile applications. Forrester Research forecasts that revenue from mobile applications by 2015 will reach $ 38 billion. A few months’ earlier analysts predicted that revenues from mobile applications in 2011 will reach $ 15 billion. Majority of the profit will be generated not only by smartphones owners, but also by tablet users. Approximately one fifth of all income in 2015, or $ 8 billion, will come from selling programs for tablets. For comparison, in 2010 software for tablet has brought only $ 0.3 billion.
The rapid development of the sector is associated with qualitative changes in smartphones. For example, we will be witnesses of the transition to more high-speed data network (4G). This will enable to use smartphones for high quality video viewing, using NFC sensors and so on. According to data, collected in November 2009, today among TOP mobile apps for smartphones are games, applications for travel, navigation and photo. The data is contained in a survey conducted on the order of Samsung Electronics.
According to analysis, games are the most popular among women: 70% of them admitted playing mobile games, whereas among men the rate was 57%.
Women also appreciate programs for creating and processing photos (70%) – much more than men (49%).
Demand for applications that allow getting reference information or advice among men and women is over the need of applications for social networks (39%).
Among the most desirable mobile applications are: programs for travel and navigation (34% of respondents want to use them), photo apps (12% of respondents), applications for work (11%) and shopping (9%).
Demand for applications among consumer is high: almost half of the smartphones owners (42%) would pay for downloading applications, if they had such an opportunity. 54% of these users are willing to pay 5 euros per application and 13% – up to 10 euros.
43% of smartphone’s owners, who have installed any application before, lost interest in it very quickly, so almost half of the programs in a short time became excessive. This demonstrates a clear discrepancy of existing market applications to real life requirements.
Research shows that the mobile application market has huge potential but due to unrealized demand, developers and application providers can expect higher incomes. The survey results confirm that this market is at an early stage of development.

Your Ad Could Be Here!
When I attended the NBA All-Star weekend in Toronto last February, my daughter asked me to bring her home a jersey.
Obligingly, I picked up a Dwyane Wade replica jersey on her behalf. When I did, however, I noticed something that I had never seen on an NBA jersey before: a small logo for Kia Motors Corporation. The patch mirrored those on the All-Star jerseys worn by the players themselves, marking the first foray into advertising on sports uniforms.
Well, in a professional American men’s league in a major team sport, at least. Such marketing is very familiar to fans of car racing, from Formula One to NASCAR, where drivers and their vehicles have both served as high-speed billboards for years. Soccer fans, whether or not their team is based in America, are used to advertising on jerseys too; such ads generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for European teams. The WNBA has sold advertising space on jerseys since 2011, supporting a league that struggles to generate profits through fan attendance alone.
The four major professional men’s sports leagues in the U.S. have, until now, shied away from such advertising. In the past, logistical concerns such as securing individual owner approval and avoiding conflicts with existing sponsors have kept league officials hesitant. For a long time, it seemed like no sport wanted to be the first to cross this particular line.
Now the NBA has taken the plunge. After the All-Star game pilot, the NBA’s board of governors approved a three-year program to test the idea of teams selling space on jerseys for corporate logos. The program will begin with the 2017-18 season, and the Philadelphia 76ers have already announced a partnership with StubHub for next year. While the NBA protects a few of its partners, such as ESPN and Nike, from seeing competitors’ logos appear on a team jersey, nearly any other company that doesn’t deal in gambling, alcohol or politics is fair game.
The revenues from such ads will be divided among the league, the team and a revenue-sharing pool split among the players themselves. NBA commissioner Adam Silver said that the league has calculated the program will be worth about $100 million annually. Relative to the NBA’s overall revenues, this would be a relatively small piece of the pie. But the league, team owners and players are all looking for more revenue sources as their business continues to change. For example, PriceWaterhouseCoopers reported that media rights fees will outpace ticket sales by 2018.
During the pilot program, the logos will be small: a 2.5-inch square patch on the left shoulder. Assuming the pilot program goes well, however, I expect that we will eventually see multiple logos on the front and back of jerseys, perhaps with variations for home and away uniforms. Considering the amount of revenue that jersey sponsorships generate for European soccer leagues, it seems likely the ads are here to stay. I expect the NFL, MLB and NHL, which have all held out against ads on game jerseys, to follow suit in the not-too-distant future.
As I discovered at the All-Star game, it is not only players who will become walking advertisements; fans may get in the game, too. During the pilot program, teams are required to offer logo-free jerseys to fans, but have the option of also selling those that will match the ones worn by players. Teams will doubtless determine their own approaches as the program progresses. For instance, the 76ers have said that jerseys sold nationwide will not carry the StubHub logo, but jerseys sold at their team locations will. Effectively, the team is attempting to turn the jersey with an ad into a collector’s item.
The 76ers’ CEO, Scott O’Neil, told ESPN, “We have a very strong opinion that little Scottie, [a hypothetical consumer] who is 9 years old, will want to wear what the players are wearing on the court.” (1) This theory may or may not pan out, but it is not without logic. Giving fans the option of jerseys with and without a logo will let them vote with their purchases during the three-year pilot.
Although certain fans may not be pleased with the idea, advertising and sports have long gone hand-in-hand. From player endorsements to arenas named after brands, professional sports already involve sponsorship to an extent that makes hand-wringing over small patches on player jerseys seem a bit strange. And ads have no impact at all on players’ performance or the quality of the game, which are the reasons the fans show up in the first place.
The bigger problem for league officials would be pushback from the players themselves. Since the players will benefit directly in the form of additional compensation, however, I expect that most of them will favor the plan. If I am wrong, players have an opportunity to make their displeasure known. The existing collective bargaining agreement between the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association does not expire until June 30, 2021, but either party may opt out of it until December 15 of this year. If players want to object before the pilot season, they can – but it seems unlikely that they will.
In a way, my daughter’s All-Star jersey may become a piece of basketball history. Keep your eyes peeled in the next few years to see what sort of partnerships appear. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see a Carnival Cruise Line badge on a Miami Heat jersey in the near future.

Tips to Maintain MAC PC
Do you have a Mac PC? If yes, then this article is worth reading. Here you will find useful tips to maintain your MAC PC. You can also consult a computer repair services that offer Apple Mac Support to make your MAC PC perform at its best. The tips are as follows:
Check whether there is plenty of disk space on the boot drive or not. Your MAC uses some of your hard drive space as virtual memory when there is not enough actual memory available. It's good to always keep 10% of your hard drive free for such activity. Remove Unwanted Language Packs as OS X contains hundreds of languages that you most likely will not use saving some extra disk space.
Check dock for unwanted apps. Your dock should only contain your most used applications so take a look through to see if there is anything you can remove or uninstall. Choose suitable applications for files be sensible when choosing what applications open by default – think do you really need Photoshop to open just to view an image when preview will work fine? Right click on a file then select Get Info.
Check Software Build If you have an Intel MAC then check the build of the software is universal – it might be that the application is still running through Rosetta and that a universal update is available. Remove dock animation Navigate to System Preferences – Dock then un-tick Animate Opening Applications. Avoid animated desks Navigate to System Preferences – Desktop & Screen Saver then un-tick Change picture.
Remove unused widgets. Each widget takes some memory and processor power even when you're not using the dashboard so only enable the ones you use. Alternately you can disable the dashboard. Check to see how much processing power and memory each widget uses. Some widgets are more intensive than others, if there is one that is specifically demanding see if there is one with similar functionality on the Apple website. To do this run Activity Monitor – Applications – Utilities -Activity Monitor.
Clear Cache. To speed up page loading Safari saves a copy of every page in its cache though if the cache gets too large it can actually slow down page loading so it's the best way to empty it occasionally. To do so, click Safari – Empty Cache. You also need to clear History. Safari can remember every single site you have visited which can have a negative effect on its performance. You can empty it be selecting History – Clear History.
Also clear AutoFill. AutoFill is the data is saved in forms such as your username and password on websites. As with the cache and history the AutoFill can mount up over time. To empty select Safari> Preferences then select the AutoFill tab. From here you can go through the three AutoFill sections and clear out data that you no longer want stored.

Best Budget Windows Laptop for 2016
If you’re looking to get a new laptop that’s high on performance and cheap, this guide should put you on the right path.
The model mentioned here is perfect for K-12 students. It can help with homework and research, watching online videos and general web browsing.
A decent laptop that you want to use as a home PC or a laptop that you can bring to school can cost about $450 – $600.
It will not be quite as powerful as a workstation. You will not be able to play the latest games. If you’re thinking about running software like Photoshop or CAD, forget it. You should consider increasing your budget for a better notebook. Still, it will hold its own when you’re running common office tasks or web browsing.
These types of laptops are also bulkier than ultrabooks or ultraportable Chromebooks. If want cheaper and lighter models, then you should be looking for Chromebooks.
Right now, the best laptop to get is the Acer Aspire E 15. It’s cheap, it’s powerful and it will even allow you to play some games at decent video quality settings.
The Aspire E 15 carries a Skylake CPU, comes with 8GB of system memory and a 256GB SSD. It also integrates a dedicated graphics card, the NVIDIA GeForce 940M with 2GB of VRAM.
This laptop can run most games at decent quality levels. It will be nowhere near to the performance and quality a dedicated gaming laptop can deliver.
As a rule of thumb, if you want to buy a budget laptop in the $400-$600 range, then it should meet a few requirements. The processor should be a Core i5 (or even an i3).
You should check if the CPU is from the 5th or 6th generation since these are the newest. It should also have 6-8GB of installed system memory and either a large hard drive or a fast one.
The hard drive type you will choose will determine capacity and laptop performance. If you’ll choose an SSD, your laptop can perform a lot better.
You will notice a big difference when running software or games. A similar spec laptop that carries a regular hard drive will run these tasks slower.
To find a laptop with these specs, you’ll have to do a lot of research and browse through a lot of similar spec models. Most of these laptops will carry a 15-inch screen and weigh anything between 4 – 7 pounds.
This can leave quite a dent in their portability. It’s just not practical to carry one of these laptops around since it’s quite bulky. The battery life is not quite as good as the one that an ultrabook has.
And while most of these laptops carry a regular hard drive, they will feel a lot slower than an ultrabook. Their increased storage capacity makes up for it.

LEGO and ISO 9001
The 80-year old LEGO Group believes “only the best is good enough”, according to its founder Kirk Christiansen. Accordingly, it is registered to several key ISO standards including ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 8124 (safety of toys).
When was the last time you opened a new LEGO kit and discovered missing pieces or instructions or anything less than satisfactory about the product and the total experience? The LEGO brand is vital to the LEGO Group and everyone knows how difficult it is to console children when their expectations haven’t been met. LEGO Group cannot afford this. ISO 9001 provides the necessary framework and guidelines to hold itself in check while meeting internationally-accepted best practices for running an effective Quality Management System.
LEGO is using ISO 9001 to hold its suppliers and global factories accountable to meet its quality standards and customer expectations. This is one of the benefits of the standard. The ISO certified company can call the shots when dealing with suppliers and have its pick of the litter. Ultimately, the customer wins. The standard is also being used to help fast-track global expansion.
LEGO is closely adhering to Section 7.2.3 of the standard called ‘Customer communication’. That is, LEGO is determining and implementing effective arrangements for communicating with customer in relation to:
1) product information
2) enquiries, contracts or order handling, including amendments, and
3) customer feedback, including customer complaints
The excerpt below is from ISO Focus+ magazines’ March 2010 issue, Volume 1, No. 3
Since 1991, the LEGO Group has implemented ISO 9001, which it regards as the ideal framework for structuring its global quality management system (QMS) – with LEGO factories operating in countries well aware of its requirements. Using ISO 9001 is an efficient way of implementing the quality management system at new production sites. All ISO 9001 requirements will usually be familiar to quality management staff at new sites, which enables the company to focus fully on the specific internal requirements. For the consumer, the quality management system ensures that each LEGO box contains the right number and type of building elements, which are crucial to delivering the promised LEGO building experience.

How Long Should Soccer Cleats Last?
This is a question that is asked soon after the purchase of say a pair of high end soccer cleats costing close to 300 dollars.
If you are an active player, playing 3 to seven times a week, say seven, and have just that one pair of high end soccer cleats, you can expect them to last one full season (three to four months) and if you are lucky, maybe two seasons.
There are four main variables to determine how long your soccer cleats should last
1. A lighter shoe will be less durable. The material is thinner and more prone to break faster than a heavier shoe.
2. The playing surface is important. If you buy Firm Ground cleats, they are designed for play on firm grassy surfaces. You are advised not to use them on artificial turf as that would be a sure shot way of breaking them before time. Buy a pair of soccer cleats that is appropriate for the surface you play on whether it is firm ground, soft ground, artificial turf or indoors.
3. If you are an active player, playing every single day, it makes sense to get an additional pair of cleats so that the wear and tear is distributed between the two pairs.
4. The intensity of play – here self knowledge is the key. You should know whether you are going to the field just to play a few kicks, or a few side games or that you like to play intensely, and move about a lot on the field. In the latter scenario, no brand will last longer than another. You have to be realistic and admit that you are pretty hard on your shoes and so expect to replace them often. Basically, your track record in soccer cleats is key here.
If you want your football cleats to last as long as they possibly can, taking good care is important. Here is a care regimen for soccer cleats
1. Breaking in for new cleats can be achieved by jogging in them during warm ups or just before a game. The more you engage them, the more they will loosen up and provide the right fit.
2. Air dry the cleats after every game, and stuff some newspaper in them to absorb the dampness and also hold the shape till they dry. They will crack if you expose them to the sun while drying.
3. Remove the detachable cleats soon after the game. Walking in them on any other surface blunts them and renders them useless in their function of providing you grip.
4. Clean your soccer cleats soon after the game, to prevent dirt and dust from settling into the leather causing damage. Carefully brush out any dirt from the dented areas of stitching. If you are using cleaning products, make sure they are gentle on your soccer cleats.
5. Use a leather foot and leather creams regularly to keep the leather uppers of your football cleats soft and supple.
6. Never subject them to a hot water cleaning, as this ruins the shoes.

How to Set Proper Spring Pre Load on Coilovers
So you’ve purchased a set of coilover shocks for your car with spring pre load (or “spring tension”) adjustment, but do you know how to properly set it? Maybe your coilover system does not have independent ride height adjustability, you set it to yield a desired ride height, and are now just hoping the set pre load is within proper range. Or maybe your coilovers do have spring pre load adjustability independent of ride height adjustability, but you are unsure of how this affects performance. In this article we will describe the effects of spring pre load and how to properly set it.
Having too much or too little spring tension will negatively affect suspension performance, but in different ways. Too much spring tension can make your suspension feel like it is topping out. This happens because now the shock extends to its maximum length too suddenly, and this may unload your wheels from the road surface. Not enough spring tension can make your suspension bottom out excessively. Knowing these effects can help make the correct adjustments.
Let’s define a few terms to help understand spring pre load effects. The amount of stroke the spring consumes at static ride height from the weight of the vehicle is called “droop.” And the amount of stroke left over at static ride height is called “compression stroke.” The total shock stroke is droop and compression stroke combined.
Equation:
Total Shock Stroke = Droop + Compression Stroke
It is important to understand that spring tension does not affect the spring rate of a linear spring (most coilover systems come with linear springs). For example, increasing spring pre load WILL NOT increase the firmness of your linear spring. However, this WILL increase the amount of compression stroke you have which increases bottoming resistance.
Springs on most coilover systems have to be pre loaded in order to retain a desirable amount of compression stroke at static ride height. For example; if you have a coilover with a 200 lbs/in spring rate carrying 800 lbs of weight, without any pre set spring pre load, the coilover will compress 4″ just from the static 800 lbs of weight acting on it. If this coilover has a total of 5″ of stroke, this only leaves you with 1″ of compression stroke left over! In this scenario you must pre load the spring to insure you have more than 1″ of compression stroke. There is way too much droop in this scenario.
So we now know that spring tension affects droop. But what is the proper amount of droop to have? This varies depending on how much total stroke your coilovers have, so we treat the desired droop as a ratio of total shock stroke. In order to have an appropriate amount of droop, we recommend setting droop to be 30-40% of the total shock stroke (see equation below). Now you know that you have to adjust the spring tension on your coilovers to yield 30-40% droop!
Equation:
Desired Droop = Total Shock Stroke x.35
How to set spring pre load:
You must first measure the total shock stroke of your coilover (including the bump stop length). Then measure how much the coilover compresses when the vehicle is at static ride height. Subtract the compression stroke at static ride height from the total shock stroke to find the droop amount. Adjust spring pre load until suspension droop is between 30-40% of total shock stroke.
Equation:
Droop = Total Shock Stroke – Compression Stroke

7 Skin Care Rules You Must Swear By In 2017
If you think those celebrities are just blessed with flawless and fabulous-looking skin, think again. In this post, we have compiled a list of 7 most effective skin care tips that will help you get perfect skin in 2017.
Follow these 7 skin care tips for flawless skin
- Give your skin some time to absorb one product before you layer another
If you are using multiple skin care products simultaneously, you must know how to apply them right to leverage maximum benefit for your skin. Don’t apply all skin care products one after one without any time gap. It is important to provide your skin a considerable amount of time to absorb first product before you apply next.
- Keep your makeup brushes clean ALWAYS
How often do you clean your makeup brushes? If you are using them regularly, it is important to clean them once in each week. If you continue using the same brush for months and months without cleaning them, they can be a home to bacteria and use them can give you skin problems like acne. The residue on those brushes will make your makeup application less effective resulting it poor finish. Keep your makeup brushes clean!
- Take vitamin rich diet
If you are determined to have healthy and naturally glowing skin, focus on what you should eat and what you shouldn’t. Consume vitamin-rich food in your diet. You can also take essential vitamin supplements after consulting your physician. Say goodbye to unhealthy junk food in 2017!
- Apply moisturizer after bath
When you take a hot water bath, the skin loses some natural oils from within. This is why it is important to apply moisturizing lotion right after a shower when your skin is slightly moist. It is a good idea to keep your moisturizer in a bathroom so you don’t skip on using it post shower.
- Learn the importance of skin exfoliation
Many of us underestimate the importance of regular skin exfoliation. It’s an essential part of your skin care routine. It helps remove the dead skin cells so your skin looks young and glowing. The presence of dead skin makes your skin look dull and older. Use a good skin exfoliator scrub for 2 times a week for beautiful skin all 365 days a year.
- Choose your skin care products carefully
If the skin care products you use contain misfit ingredients or harsh chemicals, it can do more harm than good to your skin. There are numerous skin care products available off-the-shelf. But not all can deliver quality results for your skin. Read the ingredients carefully instead of picking any random product based on the brand name, advertisement or packaging. Find out your skin type and know what types of products are recommended for your skin type. Look for more natural products that are gentle on your skin. Spare a good amount of time to do your research before you purchase your beauty products. You can check ingredients, read reviews and take an informed decision.
- Say NO to stress in 2017!
Be it your hair, skin or overall physical health, stress is the biggest threat for their wellness. Taking too much stress can give your more acne, dark under-eye circles, and dull-looking skin. Practice yoga and meditation to kick out stress in this New Year. Have not you heard that happier people are the healthier? It goes true for your skin too.
What’s more? Drink plenty of water to keep your skin well-hydrated and take good night sleep every day! Follow this skin care routine and soon you are flaunting radiant skin!

Siberian Cats – The Myth of the Allergy Free Cat
Siberian Cats have been termed hypoallergenic. For me this is true. The definition of hypoallergenic is lower in allergens, not allergy free. Each and every cat is different as is each and every person. We have 5 breeding cats here at Kings Choice Siberians and one neuter plus kittens off and on. I am highly allergic (hives, asthma, allergy, etc.) complete with the allergists’ test to prove it. I can live with 2, no problems. This many, I do need some slight medication. I bath them every 2 – 4 weeks – Siberians can be bathed and in fact many enjoy the water, it removes any small amount of Fel d1 and after I always indulge myself by burying my face in their clean, dry fur. In my home, I have no curtains just blinds and carpets are throw only. I also don’t let my cats sleep in my personal bedroom, to create a free zone. Finally, I assign litter duty to others and have rolling self clean litter boxes in case I do end up doing it. With all of that, I do fine. Temporarily, until the kittens are homed – we have 10. I am currently sitting here fine typing this, in the spring no less, not clawing out my eyes like I would be in the home of someone with just one domestic cat. Each person and cat differs. I do get slight itching when a kitten’s claw punctures me, but they are very young and covered in momma saliva. Just a touch of Benadryl cream and it is gone.
Vacuum, bath them and invest in an actual purebred Siberian – not a shelter cat. Honestly it is very doubtful any purebred Siberians are in shelters. If you are willing to take medicine occasionally and/or Benadryl cream for scratches (assuming you are very high allergy like me) you should do well. Customers with lesser allergies tell me that they have no symptoms whatsoever. As I said, all cats and people differ. We raise traditional Siberians only. The difference between a traditional and “not” is that the others have a color-point gene. They received this somewhere in their backgrounds by crossing to Siamese. These, I shy from as I do not wish to add any potential allergy level to what is already an amazing breed. They have been named Nevas, Neva Masquerade, Color Point Siberians, CP or even Lynx – all are the same. Some allergy sufferers also claim to do well with the Nevas, but for me, it is not worth the risk. You will know them immediately by their white coloring and Siamese style markings. Traditional Siberians come in every tabby color and many solids. Cinnamon, lilac and fawn are the only non-allowed colors. The reason for that is that again it was produced through out-crosses. They are not natural traditional colors for Siberians.
I have people ask me about Fel d1 testing. This is not a great way to choose your Siberian. The testing facility will tell you they have a 50% error margin on perfect tests. That percentage of failure actually increases with any errors in the collection. This makes the test worthless. It is also very expensive. Breeders offer these numbers more to please the public than for any real worth. Fur testing is also useless as the breeder could have bathed the cat 1st. Bathing with the month before voids the test. Another cat may have licked the test cat transferring saliva with Fel d1. So how does this boil down? Well, NOTHING is allergy free. They have recently discovered people can be allergic to cold air. So to say allergy free is to lie. However, as I said hypoallergenic means lower in allergens. Yes, it is possible for a Siberian to be hypoallergenic. Even a sever allergy sufferer like myself can live happily with a cat of their own. You have to be willing to do the footwork to investigate your cattery of choice, to pay the fees required for the breeding of such a miracle animal and to take cleanliness precautions so that you can live a long happy life with a wonderful pet that often lives past 20 years. If you always wanted a cat – it’s your dearest wish and you’d be willing and responsible, then I do suggest you check out the breed. It might be just what you always wanted.
